Kane celebrates his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his desire in coming back to the Premier League has diminished and he is prepared to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The star striker is currently two years through the four-year deal he inked when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the offseason of 2023.
The experienced forward has scored an impressive 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German side, helping them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which marked the initial major trophy of his illustrious career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has recently stated that he would be pleased to see Kane come back to England, where he needs 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England leader has now suggested that he is no longer as enthusiastic about returning home as he previously was, and would certainly contemplate lengthening his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of extending longer, I could absolutely see that," he stated.
"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be open to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so progresses and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different chances and different periods happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top scorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five divisions, attaining the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had avoided him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane admits that he was not sure how he would react after ending his trophy wait, but now believes it has made him eager for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
